Serpentine Belt Tensioner Assembly

The Dayco 89234 is an automatic belt tensioner assembly designed for serpentine belt systems. It features Dayco's patented flat spring design, which helps to minimize operating range variation and reduce the risk of premature accessory bearing failure due to excessive tension. This tensioner also lessens the likelihood of belt noise and slippage associated with low tension. Constructed with a heavy-duty cast aluminum spring case and arm, this tensioner resists cracking and fatigue, offering enhanced strength and reducing the risk of distortion. Premium thermoplastic rubber spring slot plugs and rubber O-ring seals are incorporated to prevent contaminants from entering the assembly. The zinc-coated mounting bolts are resistant to rust.
