SF Clutch and Flywheel Kit

The Ringer Racing RR400-SF clutch and flywheel kit is a high-performance system developed by Clutch Masters to support the MQB-platform 02Q 6-speed FWD transmission. It is specifically compatible with Audi and VW MK7 and MK7.5 2.0T TSI FWD models. The kit features a high-leverage pressure ring design and ductile iron casting to ensure reliable clamping force under increased power levels. Available in multiple stages, the lineup offers holding capacities from 425 ft lbs to a maximum of 810 ft lbs, using either organic or full-face cerametallic discs depending on the selected stage. Technical specs and hardware requirements include an 18lb or 23lb single-mass steel flywheel, which allows for either faster revs or smoother engagement. Installation requires Loctite on all fasteners, with flywheel bolts torqued in a specific three-step sequence of 45 ft lbs, 65 ft lbs, and a final 85 ft lbs, while pressure plate bolts must be torqued to 25 ft lbs. Please note that this kit does not include a throw-out bearing, and professional installation is recommended given the 6-hour estimated install time. Several hardware prerequisites and optional upgrades are available to complete the installation. Optional CM hydraulics, such as a bleeder block or a performance throw-out bearing kit with an upgraded clutch line, are sold separately. Additionally, a Diamond Claw Surface Lock shim is highly recommended for high-torque builds to prevent crankshaft damage and flywheel movement. Note that the lightweight 18lb flywheel option may produce gear rattle during operation.
