SF Short Ram Intake System

The Cobb Tuning SF Short Ram Intake System is engineered to replace the factory air intake on 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX/STI and 2004-2008 Forester XT vehicles. This upgrade aims to improve airflow and engine breathing. The system includes a specially designed MAF Sensor Housing, a high-flow filter, and all the necessary mounting brackets and hardware for installation. The installation process requires careful removal of the stock intake components, including the air box, intake scoop, and MAF sensor, followed by the precise installation of the COBB SF Intake System. Key tools required for installation include a flat head screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, socket wrench with a 12" extension, 10mm and 12mm sockets, a 10mm box end wrench, and a 3mm hex-head wrench. It's crucial to handle the MAF sensor with extreme care during removal and installation to prevent damage, as it is a sensitive component. Proper alignment and securing of the intake system and MAF sensor are essential to avoid contact with other engine components and ensure optimal performance. After installation, it is recommended to start the engine and rev it to ensure there is no contact between the new intake and any surrounding parts.
