Description

The Viega 78162 is a copper ProPress reducer fitting designed for various fluid distribution systems. It features a 1-1/2 inch connection on one end and a 1-1/4 inch connection on the other, utilizing the ProPress x ProPress end connection type. This fitting is lead-free and includes an EPDM sealing element.

This reducer is suitable for applications including chilled water distribution, compressed air, hydronic heating, cooling water, low-pressure steam, fire sprinkler systems, rainwater/gray water, isopropyl alcohol, and portable water. It is rated for a temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and a pressure of 300 PSI. The material specification adheres to ASTM B88/B75/B31/F3226 standards and it meets numerous applicable standards such as NSF/ANSI 61/372 and ASME B31.3.
