The Superior Transmission Parts KAOD-E Shift Kit is engineered to resolve a range of common automatic transmission problems, including soft and sloppy 1-2 and 3-4 shifts, inadequate lubrication, overdrive band failure, 3rd clutch failure, 2nd roller clutch failure, and converter shudder. This versatile kit serves both AOD-E and 4R70W transmissions, making it a single solution for multiple applications. Designed with both regular and heavy-duty use in mind, this package was notably developed and tested using police vehicles, which often experience demanding operational conditions leading to unit failure. The kit features a "New Millenium" two-piece design comprising a Spiral Ring and a G-lock ring. This advanced design has been tested at over 16,000 RPM on a dynamometer without failure, offering a robust alternative to the stock snap ring that is prone to failure. This kit specifically replaces the stock snap ring, which is known to fail ('sling off') under stress. The Superior KAOD-E is compatible with AOD-E, 4R70E, 4R70W, 4R75E, and 4R75W transmissions, fitting models from 1991-2013. This comprehensive shift correction package aims to enhance transmission performance and durability.
