SHIFT KIT Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is engineered to address common issues in Ford 5R55W, 5R55S, and 5R55N automatic transmissions, fitting models from 1999 onwards. This kit is designed to correct and prevent diagnostic trouble codes like P1740, P1744, P0732, P0733, P0734, and P0735. It targets specific operational failures, including transmissions that won't move, exhibit pump noise, suffer from a lack of lock-up, or slip and shudder in lock-up. The kit includes a no-noise pump flow control valve assembly, an upgraded TCC/lock-up valve assembly, and a pump alignment tool. Additionally, it comes with two EPC relief assemblies and high-temperature, low-shrink direct clutch rings. For those seeking enhanced performance, especially in higher-horsepower applications like Mustangs, TransGo also offers a Reprogramming Kit™ (5R55W-HD2) for 5R55W and 5R55S transmissions from 2002 onwards. This specific kit increases intermediate and OD band apply pressure to reduce shift times under heavy throttle. The general SHIFT KIT® for the 5R55W, 5R55S, and 5R55N transmissions (SK 5R55W) includes reamers with oversize valves and guides for boring and replacing VFS1 and VFS2 mod valves, along with springs designed to resolve no/slow reverse and loss of various forward gear ranges.
