Shift Kit Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-340 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is engineered to resolve common issues found in A340, A341, A343, and Jeep AW4 automatic transmissions manufactured from 1985 onwards. Common complaints addressed by this kit include rough shifts when the transmission is cold, soft or delayed shifts, lazy downshifts, Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) slip, and overheating problems, particularly in type two, three, and four valve bodies affected by wear at the lock-up relay valve. At the core of many of these issues is wear in the TCC relay boost valve and its bushing. The SK-340 kit replaces the OE soft aluminum assembly with a robust, USA-made hardened steel TCC relay boost valve and bushing. This upgrade restores the integrity of the hydraulic circuit, providing a durable solution to prevent further wear and related malfunctions. Beyond the boost valve, the kit also supplies all necessary components to recalibrate accumulator springs, pressure regulator springs, and the feed orifices within the valve body separator plate, leading to firmer, more precise shifts and enhanced overall transmission performance and longevity. The kit's comprehensive contents include a USA-made hardened steel TCC relay boost valve and bushing, various colored pressure regulator valve springs and washers for different valve body types (type one and types two, three, four), multiple accumulator spacers (short, medium, long), a selection of accumulator springs in different colors, and a 0.055” drill bit for precise orifice modification.
