SHIFT KIT Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-700 is a SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit specifically engineered for 1982 to 1993 General Motors vehicles utilizing the 700R4/4L60 automatic transmission. While originally designed for 1982-1987 units with a type-1 valve body, this kit is compatible with all year models and valve body types within the specified range. For 1988 and later type-2 valve bodies, a more economical option, part # SK 700-JR, is available. This kit aims to resolve common issues that plague the 700R4/4L60 transmission, including 2-4 band and 3-4 clutch failure, 1-2 slide bump, 2-3 cut-loose, low/reverse clutch failure, and problems with 4th gear engagement or holding. It also addresses issues like 4-3-4-3 shuttle shifts and the notorious 3-2 coast downshift bang when in D3 range. A key feature of the SK-700 is TransGo's patented Bootstrap® TV system. This innovative system targets the root cause of band and 3-4 clutch failures, as well as late or early shift issues, by providing a completely new TV (Throttle Valve) system. Installation of this shift kit does not require transmission removal. The kit includes a comprehensive set of parts to rebuild and improve the valve body, such as a No Stick TV valve, springs, spacers, pressure regulator valve components, governor springs, accumulator seals, and a .076” drill bit, among many other specific parts.
