SHIFT KIT Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-A650 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is engineered for the A650E 5-speed automatic transmission, specifically fitting 1998-2005 Lexus models. This kit targets prevalent transmission complaints including shuttle shifts, binding or flaring during the 2-3 shift, slips in 3rd and 4th gears, and rough kickdowns at highway speeds due to slow TCC release. It also helps resolve diagnostic trouble codes such as P0746, P0751, P0756, P0771, P0776, P0894, P2714, and P2757. The primary causes addressed by this kit are wear in the TCC relay boost valve and bushing, and the solenoid modulator valve bore. When these components wear, the transmission's computer struggles to control the lock-up clutch apply and release, and to properly regulate solenoid pressure. This can lead to compromised shift quality and inaccurate line pressure, resulting in performance issues and error codes. The kit provides a drop-in TCC relay boost valve and bushing to restore hydraulic circuit integrity, and a redesigned solenoid modulator valve system that doesn't require special tooling. The included components are a hardened steel TCC relay boost valve, bushing, and retainer, along with a solenoid modulator valve, bushing, spring, and end plug. A 0.055” drill bit is also included for installation. Installation does not require transmission removal.
