Overview

The ACUITY Instruments 1893 is a set of individual shifter base bushings designed to replace the compliant rubber OEM bushings. Crafted from rigid 6061-T651 aluminum, these bushings reduce shifter slop for a more decisive shift feel. The kit includes upper and lower bushings, along with class 12.9 mounting bolts, and features a purple anodized finish with laser-etched logos.

The ACUITY Instruments 1893 Shifter Base Bushing Kit is engineered to significantly enhance the shifting experience by replacing the factory rubber bushings with solid, rigid aluminum. The stock rubber components on most Honda and Acura models are highly compliant, leading to a noticeable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during gear changes. By upgrading to these 6061-T651 aluminum bushings, drivers will experience a much more direct and decisive shift. The kit includes three upper bushings, three lower bushings, and three class 12.9 flat-head mounting bolts for a complete replacement. The aluminum construction minimizes unwanted flex and play in the shifter assembly. The bushings are finished with a durable purple Type 2 anodized coating and feature laser-etched ACUITY logos for a premium look. The included class 12.9 mounting bolts ensure a secure and robust installation. This kit is specifically compatible with all trims of the 8th Generation Honda Civic equipped with manual transmissions, including base models, Si, FN2 Type R, and FD2 Type R, for the model years 2006-2011. It is important to note that these 1893 Shifter Base Bushings are intended for use with OEM 8th Gen Civic shifters only. They are NOT compatible with ACUITY's own 8th Gen Civic Shifters (SKUs 1960-1W and 1960-3W).
