The kit includes Class 10.9 hardware and features a purple anodized finish with laser-etched specifications.

The ACUITY Instruments 1956 Shifter Base Bushings are engineered to significantly refine the feel of your vehicle's shifter. Most Honda and Acura models utilize highly compliant rubber bushings in their shifter bases, which contribute to a noticeable "spongy" sensation during gear changes due to leverage. This kit directly addresses that by replacing the OEM rubber components with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum bushings. This upgrade results in a much more decisive and precise shifting experience, even when retaining a stock shifter. The bushings are constructed from durable aluminum and feature a vibrant purple Type 2 anodized finish for both aesthetics and corrosion resistance. For added functionality and ease of installation, they are laser-etched with driver and torque specifications, and the kit includes high-strength Class 10.9 mounting bolts. This modification pairs well with other ACUITY performance components, such as their Shifter Cable Bushing Upgrade (SKU 1881), to further enhance the shifting system.
