Over time, the bushings in the shift tower located on top of the transmission can degrade, leading to harder shifts and a noticeable looseness in the shifter feel. This comprehensive kit directly replaces these worn parts. Included in this kit are the shift tower bushings, a crucial guide bushing featuring a ball-bearing inner carrier for smoother operation, the top bushings, and the lower seal. These components are situated internally within the shift tower assembly on the transmission. This kit is specifically designed for 2000-2005 Volkswagen Golf and Jetta models with manual transmissions, including both 5-speed and 6-speed configurations. Please note that this kit is not compatible with model year 1999 vehicles. It is also important to be aware of the California Proposition 65 warning regarding potential cancer and reproductive harm associated with this product.
