It replaces the stock rubber shifter cable bushings, which are intentionally compliant to provide a tame feel but can lead to missed or slow shifts. This upgrade uses a custom acetal and aluminum spherical bushing with integral o-rings for a precise fit and smooth operation. The design minimizes wear and tear while preventing the binding common in other aftermarket solid bushings.

The ACUITY Shifter Cable Bushing Upgrade directly addresses the intentionally compliant nature of Honda's OEM shifter cable bushings, which can lead to a disconnected feel from the transmission and missed shifts. This kit replaces the stock rubber components with a custom-designed spherical bushing made from Acetal and 6061-T6 Aluminum. Unlike many aftermarket bushings that can cause cables to bind and fatigue, ACUITY's design incorporates elastomer o-rings for a perfect fit with your OEM cables. This results in a solid, smooth shift feel, making you feel more connected to your vehicle's transmission. The bushings have been rigorously tested to ensure robustness and longevity. Constructed from Acetal and 6061-T6 Aluminum, these bushings feature a large-diameter spherical bearing to minimize long-term wear and tear. The kit includes stainless steel hardware to prevent corrosion. Notably, the bushings are over 20% lighter than OEM parts, weighing only 48 grams with hardware. Each kit is laser etched with a unique serial number. This upgrade is compatible with a wide range of Honda and Acura manual transmission vehicles from 2007 onwards, including various Civic, Accord, Fit, CRZ, and Integra models. Please refer to the detailed fitment list for exact compatibility. Note that this part is for manual transmission (MT) vehicles only and the 2006 Honda Civic is explicitly excluded.
