The JBR Counter Weighted Solid Shifter Cable Bushing kit offers a significant upgrade to your Focus ST or RS shifter assembly. By replacing the stock, spongy rubber bushings with JBR's solid aluminum bushings, you'll experience a much more connected feel and the precise shifting confidence that the OEM setup lacks. Once installed, they effectively eliminate all excess play in the shifter cables, resulting in firm, precise shifts every time. Beyond simply removing unwanted play from the transmission end of the shifter cables, this kit incorporates a counterweight to the primary cable. This addition further refines the precise shifts achieved through the solid bushings, making them even smoother. This feature is particularly beneficial for those already equipped with a JBR short shift arm, as it adds a desirable amount of counterweight. It also benefits drivers with lightweight short shift arms or in-car short shifters who wish to retain the OEM shift knob, as the added weight contributes to a more refined feel. Machined from 6061 aluminum with a tough black anodized finish and laser-etched JBR Gear Logo, these bushings are designed and manufactured in the USA.
