The House of Kolor Brandywine Kandy Shimrin2 (2nd Gen) Kandy Basecoat is a specially formulated automotive paint designed to replicate the sought-after Kandy finish. This basecoat offers exceptional coverage and high pigmentation with a low solids content, contributing to a low film build. Its formulation makes it user-friendly, particularly for street applications, and it is noted for being touch-up friendly, simplifying any necessary corrections. This basecoat requires mixing at a 2:1 ratio with specific reducers, such as RU310 for temperatures below 85 degrees Fahrenheit and RU312 for temperatures above 85 degrees. It is VOC compliant, meeting California standards with a low 3.5 VOC content, making it a more environmentally conscious choice. The product is praised for its beautiful color and ease of application, though some users have noted it can appear darker than anticipated after application.
