This basecoat utilizes a three-component system for creating custom paint jobs, including straight effects without pigment, KBC Kandy basecoats, and tri-stage coats. It is the second generation of House of Kolor's Shimrin Basecoat technology, which was first introduced in 1982. The recommended application is 2 to 3 medium coats with a 75 percent pattern overlap.
