Short Ram Air Intake System

The Chimera Engineering Short Ram Air Intake System is specifically designed for the 3rd generation 2022+ Honda Grom 125 RR (JC92). This direct bolt-on system replaces the factory airbox to allow your engine to breathe more freely, potentially improving throttle response and overall performance. It features a built-in air snorkel to help increase airflow and is constructed from aluminum with a textured black powder-coat finish. The kit includes the intake pipe, an IAT sensor extension harness, a 3-ply silicone intake coupler, and two hose clamps. Optional items like K&N or Sprint Filter air filters can be purchased separately to complete the system. Chimera states that this intake has been proven to increase HP without harming torque and is considered a primary modification for the Honda Grom. Installation requires transferring the IAT sensor from the OEM airbox to the new intake tube and potentially cutting the breather hose to the correct length. It is recommended to unplug the battery during installation and ensure the IAT sensor is connected before reconnecting the battery to avoid a check engine light. An ECU reset is also recommended.
