Overview

The DC Sports Short Ram Intake is a performance intake system designed for 1992-1995 Honda Civic and 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol models. It replaces the factory rubber intake pipe with a smooth, mandrel-bent aluminum tube and an open conical filter. This setup frees up induction noise and sharpens throttle response compared to the restrictive factory airbox. The system is 50-state CARB compliant and installs as a direct bolt-on replacement without requiring cutting or modifications.

The DC Sports Short Ram Intake is engineered to enhance the auditory and responsive experience of your 1992-1995 Honda Civic (DX, EX, LX, Si) or 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol (S, Si). It features a smooth, mandrel-bent aluminum tube paired with a high-flow conical air filter, replacing the stock restrictive rubber intake pipe. It also sharpens throttle response by improving airflow compared to the factory airbox. A key benefit is its 50-state CARB compliance (EO# D-370-13), ensuring it meets emissions standards across the United States. Installation is straightforward with a direct bolt-on design that requires no cutting or permanent modifications. The package includes the aluminum intake pipe, high-flow air filter, and all necessary mounting hardware. It is important to note that short ram intakes draw air from the engine bay, which can be warmer than ambient air. For those prioritizing maximum horsepower gains, a sealed cold air intake might offer superior results, as this system is optimized for induction sound, throttle response, and emissions compliance.
