The CorkSport Short Ram Intake and Turbo Inlet Pipe Combo is a comprehensive performance upgrade system designed for turbocharged Mazda 6, CX-5, and CX-9 models equipped with the SkyActiv-G 2.5T engine. This complete, turn-key system aims to provide enhanced performance and the desired turbocharger sound. The system's core design focuses on drastically increasing airflow by expanding the turbo inlet pipe's cross-sectional area from the stock 2.5 inches to a larger 3 inches. This optimized flow path efficiently feeds the turbocharger, supporting both stock and future upgrades. The intake utilizes a precision CNC machined aluminum MAF housing to ensure accurate air-mass measurement for safe and efficient engine operation. CorkSport employed extensive design and testing, including thousands of street and dyno miles, to optimize the system. The 3-inch TIP features an indentation specifically for the battery tie-down, allowing for OEM-like fitment without requiring a battery relocation. The high-flow, dry-element air filter has a dual-element design to maximize filter area and airflow without increasing overall filter size. Installation is facilitated by included hardware such as an aluminum MAF bracket, stainless steel TIP mounting bracket, and stainless steel T-bolt clamps. Step-by-step color instructions are provided for a straightforward setup. This combo is available with customizable silicone and filter colors, including black, red, and blue.
