The ETS 03-06 Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 Short Route Upper Intercooler Piping Kit is constructed from stainless steel with mandrel-bent piping. It is designed to eliminate unnecessary bends found in the stock piping, replacing the 1 3/4" factory pipe with a 2.5" pipe for increased airflow. The short route design is over two feet shorter than the stock routing, resulting in greatly improved spool.

The ETS Short Route Upper Intercooler Piping Kit is engineered for the 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8/9, designed to optimize airflow and improve turbo spool. Constructed from durable stainless steel with mandrel-bent piping, this kit replaces the restrictive 1 3/4" factory pipe with a larger 2.5" diameter section immediately off the turbo elbow. This upgrade is stated to add an estimated 15hp and significantly enhance spool characteristics. The "short route" design, which is over two feet shorter than the stock configuration, allows for a more direct path for the charged air from the intercooler to the throttle body. This unique routing minimizes bends and turbulence, further contributing to improved throttle response and spool time. The kit is designed specifically to work with the Magnus Intake Manifold and offers options for throttle body size (2.75" Stock or 3.0" Aftermarket), speed density bung inclusion, and various Blow-Off Valve (BOV) flange types, including Stock, TiAL, and HKS. Installation of the short route piping requires either the ETS Small Battery Kit or a battery relocation to the trunk. Additionally, EDM/JDM models equipped with the factory SAS system will need to remove it. While the upper piping is sold separately, the kit includes necessary couplers and clamps for installation.
