This shifter offers a significant reduction in throw, exceeding 30%, combined with a weighted shift knob that improves the ease and feel of gear changes. The shifter boasts substantial use of stainless steel for the main assembly, shift knob core, and hardware. Aluminum is utilized for the upper pivot cup, reverse lockout plate, shift housing spacer, and shift knob cap. The aluminum cap is engraved with the six-speed shift pattern, with custom engraving options available upon request. Despite its robust construction, the fully assembled shifter is only 1/8" longer than the stock unit, while still achieving the notable throw reduction. It also fully maintains reverse lockout functionality, requiring a simple push down to engage reverse. This kit includes all necessary components for installation, such as extra white lithium grease, thread locker, and a tube of silicone gasket material for sealing the shifter housing spacer. The application is specifically for the 2016-2025 Mazda MX-5 Miata (ND generation).
