Short Shift Kit

The Dieselgeek SIGMA6 is a short shift kit engineered to significantly improve the tactile feel of your vehicle's gear selection. This combination aims to eliminate free play and flex, resulting in a more direct and precise connection between the driver and the transmission. Complementing the front-to-back articulation, the side-to-side cable end is fortified with Dieselgeek's Perfect Pivot bushings. The kit also incorporates the Dieselgeek Slider, a self-lubricating structural plastic component that precisely mates the front-to-back assembly with the side-to-side bell crank, ensuring smooth gate selection and preventing the degradation often seen in aftermarket plastic parts. The result is a transformation from a potentially vague, cable-operated feel to a sensation akin to a solid lever shifter found in high-performance rear-wheel-drive cars. The shift action becomes light yet very positive, providing a precision feel that enhances driver confidence and engagement. Installation is designed as a do-it-yourself mod, typically completable within an hour, with all parts installed top-side in the engine bay. The SIGMA6 is compatible with a wide range of Volkswagen and Audi models equipped with 02M, 02Q, or MQ350 transmissions, including various Golf R, GTI, Jetta, Passat, Eos, A3/S3, and TT Quattro variants from model years spanning roughly 2000 to 2024. It notably does not fit 1.4 or 1.5 TSI turbo gas cars, MQ500 transmissions (found in TTRS or Tiguan), or certain Polo/A1/Ibiza/Fabia variants with MQ350 transmissions. Early models (2000-2001) may require a specific OE VAG cable end from newer cars.
