Its robust construction, featuring aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum and 304-grade stainless steel, ensures rigidity and reliability for demanding use. A key feature of the Coolerworx shifter is its integrated gear lockout system, allowing you to restrict access to unnecessary gears like reverse, 1st/2nd, and 5th/6th. This is particularly beneficial for competitive driving or spirited use, helping to mitigate the risk of accidental and potentially costly mis-shifts. The lockout is easily adjustable via screw-stops and released with a smooth, cable-controlled pull-up collar. The shifter also incorporates an isolated lower rod with lubricated O-rings, which effectively absorbs vibrations transmitted through the powertrain, making it an excellent choice for modified engines or transmissions prone to increased vibration. The self-centering spring ensures the shifter remains centered even during hard braking and cornering, providing consistent and reliable feedback for confident gear changes.
