The Kartboy Short Shifter Bushing Combo is engineered to revive the precise and mechanical shift feel in Subaru STI vehicles from 2002 to 2021. Complementing the shifter are front and rear bushings crafted from high-durometer polyurethane. These bushings significantly tighten the shifter's movement, addressing both fore-aft and lateral play for a more positive and confident shifting experience. This is considered one of the most impactful drivetrain upgrades achievable without disassembling the transmission itself. The kit includes the KB-20-STI shifter, KB-003-STI front bushing, and KB-003-REAR rear bushing. The components are made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty. Installation is generally straightforward and can be performed with basic hand tools, often taking between 1-4 hours, with the rear bushing and reverse lockout pin typically being the most involved parts of the process.
