The Mazdatrix Short Shifter is engineered to provide a more engaging and precise shifting experience for 1989-1992 RX7 (FC S5) models. By relocating the pivot point of the shifter lever, this component significantly reduces the travel distance of the shift knob, shortening it from the stock 6 inches down to approximately 3.5 inches. This modification results in quicker and more direct gear changes. This kit includes the essential boot that bolts to the transmission, along with all the necessary bushings for installation. The overall height of the shift knob remains consistent with the original. The shifter lever features the correct 10mm x 1.25 thread size, compatible with the stock shift knob. Each unit comes complete with the required hardware and installation instructions to facilitate a straightforward upgrade.
