Short Shifter Springs

The Hybrid Racing Heavy Duty Transmission Detent Springs offer a significant upgrade for Honda manual transmissions, providing a tighter, more precise, and confident shift feel. These springs are engineered to be 80% stiffer than OEM units, which enhances gear engagement and delivers a more deliberate feel with every shift. This upgrade is beneficial for daily driving and track use alike, helping to bring worn or sloppy transmissions back to life. The springs feature a durable black zinc finish for corrosion resistance and a clean aesthetic. They are compatible with a wide range of Honda B Series, D Series, F Series, H Series, and K Series manual transmissions. The specific number of springs used depends on the gearbox: B Series FWD, F Series (F20/F22A), and H Series transmissions utilize two of the three included springs, while B Series AWD, K Series (FWD and AWD), D Series (1996-2000), and the GK5 Fit use all three. It's important to note that some B Series boxes have an internal 5th/reverse gate detent spring that requires opening the transmission case for replacement, typically done during a rebuild. Crucially, these detent springs are NOT compatible with 2016+ Honda Civic K Series or L Series transmissions, Honda J Series V6 transmissions, Honda Fit and CR-Z L Series transmissions, and Honda Civic 2006–2015 R Series transmissions. Additionally, the necessary OEM Honda Detent Spring Bolt, Washer, and Detent Ball are sold separately and are not included in the kit.
