The Coolerworx CWX-370Z is a performance short shifter meticulously designed for the Nissan 370Z, aimed at providing a more engaging and precise driving experience. The integrated lockout mechanism for select gears, including reverse, is a critical safety and performance feature that helps prevent accidental and potentially damaging mis-shifts during spirited driving or competition. The isolated lower rod incorporates lubricated O-rings to effectively absorb vibrations from the powertrain, offering a smooth and refined feel without the harshness sometimes associated with performance shifters. This makes it an ideal upgrade for enthusiasts with modified engines or transmissions that are prone to increased vibration. The company states that little to no interior modification is typically required, and the installation is reversible, allowing you to return to the stock shifter if desired. The shifter knob features an M12x1.5 thread size, allowing for customization with aftermarket shift knobs, and is available in various colors and styles.
