The installation process can typically be performed with basic hand tools and proper vehicle lifting equipment. The Kartboy Short Throw Shifter is compatible with manual transmission vehicles, including the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, 2004-2008 and 2009-2013 Subaru Forester, and 2006-2009 Subaru Legacy GT.
