It improves shifter feel and reduces throw distances from the factory shifter. This shifter is constructed from billet steel and reuses the OEM shift knob or compatible aftermarket knobs.

Constructed from durable billet steel, this shifter directly replaces the factory unit, offering a noticeable reduction in throw length. This reduction contributes to a crisper, more precise shifter feel, enhancing overall driving dynamics. Installation is intended to be a direct replacement, simplifying the upgrade process. It is specifically designed for manual transmission vehicles only and is not compatible with 6-speed models. Fitment is specific to the 2.0L engine variants. It is compatible with the Chevrolet Cobalt 2005-2010 (2.0L), Saturn Ion Redline/Supercharged 2005-2010 (2.0L), and the Saturn Ion 2004-2007 (2.0L 4Cyl, 5-Speed). Crucially, this shifter is designed exclusively for 5-speed manual transmissions and will not fit 6-speed models.
