This reduction in throw is achieved by altering the shifter's pivot point geometry, which shortens the arc your hand travels while ensuring full transmission engagement in every gear. The design focuses on optimizing throw length, angular shift, and shift knob height for a sportier feel and quicker shifts. Precision springs are incorporated to aid in accurate gate-to-gate movements, helping to prevent missed shifts and engine over-revving during downshifts. Constructed from durable 6061-T6 CNC machined billet aluminum, the shifter features a nylon pivot ball and a stainless steel stem with a protective rubber boot. It is designed as a direct bolt-in replacement and is compatible with the stock factory knob and isolator. For those using aftermarket shifter knobs, it accepts 1/2-20 UNF threads and can be used in conjunction with IPSCO's shaft lowering kits for further customization. This short throw shifter is compatible with Dodge Vipers from 1992 to 2010, with specific fitment available for GEN 1&2 (1992-2002) and GEN 3&4 (2003-2010) models.
