The Acuity 1923 Short Throw Adapter enhances the driving experience for select Honda Civic and Accord models by providing shorter, stiffer gear throws. This adapter reduces the mechanical advantage at the shifter, effectively shortening the throw by approximately 25% across various trims. It is constructed from durable 300 series stainless steel, offering excellent strength and resistance to corrosion. Acuity's innovative clamping design utilizes special nuts to ensure the extender remains securely affixed, even under moderate torque. The kit includes an alcohol wipe and grease packet to prepare and lubricate the spherical joint during installation. This Short Throw Adapter is compatible with the following vehicles: 2016-2021 Honda Civic (all 6-speed manual transmissions), 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si, and 2018-2022 Honda Accord (all 6-speed manual transmissions). However, it is not recommended for use with the Civic Type R (FK8) shifter due to potential excessive shifter cable angle. Buyers should also be aware that shifter-mounted short-throw adapters may introduce a slight 'click' noise when engaging gears on some 10th Gen Civic models, though this is less common in 10th Gen Accords.
