Increase the speed and accuracy of your shifts with MRW's short shifter. This unit includes solid base bushings that firm up the shifter assembly's mounting for a more precise feel. The shifting throw is decreased by 25%, offering an optimal balance between shifting speed and precision. This short shifter fits the following Toyota models: 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla (all 5- and 6-speed manual only), 2009-2013 Toyota Corolla (5-speed manual only), and some overseas 2007-2011 models with a C-series 6-speed external slave cylinder. It also fits Toyota T-sport, Runx, and Sportivo 2ZZ (6-speed), though some may require increasing a hole in the plastic shifter mechanism from 10mm to 13mm with a drill. Important fitment exclusions: This shifter does NOT fit Matrix and Vibe models. It also does NOT fit 2014+ 2ZR models with the 6-speed EC60 transmission (internal slave cylinder). For later 1ZR or 2ZR engines with a 6-speed transmission, the 2014+ shifter is required. Shifter cable bushings, which attach at the transmission end of the cables, are sold separately. They work well in combination with this shifter kit to further tighten up the shift feel.
