The Midwest Transmission 1307TSK is a short throw shifter kit engineered to resolve shifting issues in ZF gas and diesel transmissions. By modifying the shift lever's pivot point, this kit enhances leverage, resulting in a noticeably shorter shifter throw for improved gear changes. The application guide specifies that part number 1307TSK is compatible with the ZF S542 5-speed transmission for 7.3L engines from model years 1987-1994. Important notes regarding the ordering process for this shifter kit include a potential core charge for shifter stubs that need to be returned. Furthermore, customers must return their existing shift stub to the factory for modification; the modified stub will then be included with the complete kit.
