The ZZPerformance Shorter Dog Bones are designed to replace your stock dogbones with a 1-inch shorter version. This modification helps to hold the engine forward, leading to several performance advantages. Benefits include improved oil pickup, particularly useful during drag racing scenarios, and a reduction in vibrations that can occur when lowering a vehicle. The altered engine position also contributes to better axle alignment, minimizing horsepower loss through the shafts, and increases the weight on the front tires, which can enhance launching capabilities. Additionally, these shorter dogbones offer increased clearance to the sway bar, facilitating easier installation of headers and downpipes. The dogbones come equipped with poly bushings for durability. Each pair is priced as indicated. It is important to note that these shorter dogbones are not compatible with cars equipped with Pacesetter headers. ZZPerformance generally does not recommend installation on LS4 cars, although they may fit. Interference with L36 aluminum brackets is possible, and some trimming for clearance might be necessary. For an alternative that avoids modification, ZZPerformance offers billet dog bones.
