The Apikol Side Mount Intercooler is engineered to provide a direct performance upgrade for your 1997-2001 Audi A4, specifically designed for unobtrusive installation using factory mounts with minor modifications. It aims to enhance power and torque by increasing horsepower and improving airflow, which helps reduce heat soak conditions. This intercooler boasts a large volume core, offering over 110% more overall core volume compared to the stock intercooler. It utilizes a high-efficiency bar and plate core construction, complemented by custom-designed and CNC-bent aluminum end-tanks. The core dimensions are 10″L x 8.1″W x 4.5″D. Installation notes specify that AEB engine codes from 1997-2000 do not have a pressure sensor, while later drive-by-wire ATW and AWM engine codes (2000-2001) are equipped with one. An option for a pressure sensor is available during purchase. Minor modifications to the core support and lower intercooler hose may be required for installation.
