Side Mount Intercooler Kit 51mm

The Darkside Upgraded Performance Side Mount Intercooler (SMIC) Kit is engineered to replace the stock, restrictive intercooler and boost hoses found in 1.9 8v TDI PD130 ASZ and US BEW PD100 engines. The original plastic intercooler and rubber/plastic hoses are prone to cracking and degradation, leading to boost leaks and power loss. This kit addresses these issues with a new alloy intercooler and 51mm alloy pipework for increased flow. The kit includes an upgraded alloy side mount intercooler with a map sensor hole, 51mm alloy pipes, 3-ply silicone boost hoses (available in 12 colors), and stainless steel T-bolt clamps for secure fitting. The components are designed and manufactured in the UK. Options are available to retain the EGR valve / ASV clip connector or to delete it with 51mm or 57mm silicone hoses. Installation notes indicate that this kit will NOT fit the Seat Ibiza, VW Polo, or Skoda Fabia; a different kit is available for those models. Vehicles equipped with skid plates or side plates may require modifications for the bottom pipe. The silicone hoses are supplied long and may require trimming to suit specific setups. Some installations may find the EGR clip connector tight, and warming the turbo compressor housing with a heat gun can assist with installation.
