Sigma 6 Short Shift Kit

The Dieselgeek Sigma 6 Short Shift Kit is engineered to provide a dramatically improved shifting experience by replacing stock components with higher-quality materials. This combination aims to eliminate slop and enhance directness in gear engagement. The side-to-side cable end is fortified with Dieselgeek's Perfect Pivot bushings, which eliminate free play and prevent side-to-side flex. These engineering choices combine to transform the shifter feel from a typical cable-operated system to that of a solid lever found in high-performance rear-wheel-drive cars. Installation is designed as a DIY-friendly process, typically completed within one hour, with all parts installed from the top side in the engine bay. The kit is compatible with a wide range of Volkswagen and Audi models equipped with 6-speed manual transmissions, including various Golf, GTI, Jetta GLI, Passat, Eos, A3/S3, and TT Quattro variants. However, it is explicitly stated that this kit does not fit 1.4 or 1.5 TSI turbo gas cars, models with the MQ500 transmission (found in TTRS or Tiguan), or Polo/A1/Ibiza/Fabia variants with MQ350 transmissions. For 2000-2001 models, a specific OE VAG cable end from newer cars is required, or an alternative aluminum side-to-side cable end from Dieselgeek can be used.
