The Dieselgeek Sigma 6 Speed Short Shift Kit offers a significant upgrade to your car's tactile feel with its 3rd generation re-design. The side-to-side cable end is enhanced with Dieselgeek's Perfect Pivot bushings, eliminating free play and ensuring precise motion transfer without side-to-side flex. The core of the Sigma Shifter's performance lies in its materials and engineering. It utilizes a very precise, long-lasting, self-lubricating structural plastic for the Slider, which mates the front-to-back assembly with the side-to-side bell crank. This contrasts with cheaper kits that use plastic that deteriorates with heavy use, leading to loss of precision over time. The Dieselgeek Slider permanently eliminates shifter degradation, providing a noticeable performance difference from the first few shifts. Installation is designed as a DIY project that can typically be completed within one hour, with all parts installed top-side in the engine bay. Important fitment notes: The Sigma 6 is designed for vehicles equipped with an 02M, 02Q, or MQ350 transmission. It does not fit 1.4 or 1.5 TSI turbo gas cars (which use the MQ250 5-speed shifter) or the MQ500 transmission found in TTRS or Tiguan. For vehicles produced before 2009, a different shifter cable end link may be present, and an optional OEM part number 1J0711761B cable end link can be added for proper installation. This kit is not compatible with Polo/A1/Ibiza/Fabia variants with MQ350 transmissions. Compatibility includes a wide range of VW Mk4, Mk5, Mk6, Mk7, and Audi 8J, 8P models, including various Golf, Jetta, GTI, R32, Passat CC, Eos, A3, and TT Quattro models.
