The Active Autowerke Signature Exhaust System is a premium, valved performance exhaust engineered specifically for the BMW F87 M2 Competition S55 engine. This system transforms the M2C's exhaust note, delivering a deep, aggressive sound when valves are open and a refined tone when closed, all without drone. Constructed from 100% 304 stainless steel with mandrel-bent tubing and TIG welding, this exhaust is built for durability and performance. It features a single 3.5-inch midpipe designed to increase exhaust velocity and promote scavenging, leading to faster turbo spool and improved throttle response. The rear section splits into dual 3.5-inch pipes, with one path leading to the exhaust tips and the other to a muffler that reduces noise when the valve is closed. The system is designed to support stock and highly modified S55 builds, offering significant performance headroom with reduced back pressure. Key features include a flow-efficient Y-pipe layout, adjustable 90mm double-walled tips (available in Carbon, Matte Black, or Brushed Silver), and the use of the OEM valve motor to retain factory drive mode control. The system is a direct bolt-on fit with no permanent modifications required. It is manufactured at Active Autowerke in Miami, Florida. These systems are built to order, with an approximate lead time of 2 to 3 weeks before shipping. Professional installation is recommended for optimal alignment and valve calibration.
