Silicone Charge Pipes

The Vargas Turbo Technologies (VTT) Silicone Charge Pipes are engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive, multi-connection stock charge pipe system on VAG MK7 Golf/Jetta/A3 platforms. This upgrade features two single 6-ply silicone charge pipes that are heat-resistant and wire-reinforced, capable of handling over 200 psi. These pipes are molded for a precise fit within the engine bay, ensuring optimal flow and size. By replacing the stock plastic hot side pipe, which necks down to 1.5 inches and creates turbulence, VTT's hot side pipe increases from 2 inches to 2.5 inches immediately and maintains that size to the intercooler. The stock cold side pipe, also plastic and with irregular shapes, is replaced by a smooth-bended 2.5-inch pipe that increases to 2.75 inches all the way to the throttle body. These silicone charge pipes significantly reduce heat transfer from the engine and ambient sources by not being attached to the engine block, unlike the stock hot side pipe. A key benefit is the reduction of connections from four per pipe on the stock system to just two, minimizing potential leak points and boost loss. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 1 to 1.5 hours for inexperienced individuals and as little as 30-45 minutes for those more familiar with car work. The hot side pipe measures 55mm (2.16″) at the turbo outlet, expanding to 65mm (2.5″) and continuing to the intercooler. The cold side pipe measures 65mm (2.50″) at the intercooler outlet, expanding to 70mm (2.75″) towards the throttle body. This part is compatible with various MK7 Golf, GTI, Golf R, Alltrack, Sportwagen, and Jetta GLI models, as well as the 8V Audi A3 and S3.
