The HPS Performance heater coolant hose kit is a direct-fit upgrade designed to replace stock OEM rubber hoses on 1991-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L models. Over time, original rubber coolant hoses can weaken and fail; this reinforced silicone kit provides improved durability against high-temperature and high-pressure operating conditions, ensuring consistent cooling efficiency for both daily driving and competitive use. Constructed from premium silicone, these hoses feature specific bends and curves that match the original cooling layout for a seamless installation. The kit includes 100% stainless steel embossed industrial-grade clamps, which are engineered to provide a secure seal without cutting through the silicone material. Please note that silicone hose water permeation rates are 10 to 15 times higher than those of standard EPDM rubber hoses. Therefore, it is highly recommended to check your coolant level regularly when using these hoses on a daily driven vehicle.
