The HPS Silicone Radiator Coolant Hose Kit (part number 57-1019) is engineered as a high-temperature replacement or upgrade for the OEM rubber lower and upper radiator coolant hoses in your vehicle. Constructed from premium grade, 3-ply reinforced silicone, these hoses are designed to withstand extreme temperatures up to 350F and prolonged exposure to under-hood heat, helping to prevent and fix coolant leaks and engine overheating issues caused by cracked or collapsed stock hoses. The kit includes pre-formed bends and curves for a precise fitment, ensuring it replaces your stock hoses seamlessly. Installation is made easier with the included 100% stainless steel, non-perforated embossed hose clamps, which are designed to prevent damage to the silicone hoses. This hose kit is specifically designed for the 1992-2000 Honda Civic models equipped with the B16 engine. It is also noted to fit 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si, 1994-1997 Honda Civic del Sol models, and the 2000 Honda Civic EX-R SIR. While silicone hoses offer superior heat resistance, it is important to note that their water permeation rate is higher than standard EPDM rubber. Therefore, checking the coolant level regularly is highly recommended for daily driving vehicles equipped with silicone coolant hoses.
