The PRL Motorsports Silicone Intake Hose Kit is engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive, corrugated factory inlet hoses found on the 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5. By utilizing a smoother, 4-ply silicone construction with stepped internal receiving grooves, this kit promotes improved airflow, which can lead to enhanced power output and quicker throttle response. This kit includes two 4-ply silicone intake hoses and five 304 stainless steel worm clamps for a secure installation. It is important to note that while this product is 50 State Legal and CARB Approved (EO D-878-8), it is not legal for sale or use in California on any emissions-controlled motor vehicle. Installation of this kit does not require any ECU calibration, simplifying the upgrade process. The smooth interior of the silicone hoses eliminates the airflow disruption caused by the factory pleats, contributing to a more efficient engine intake system. Users have reported this as a nice, simple upgrade that also enhances the look of the engine bay.
