The do88 Silicone intake resonator delete kit is engineered by do88 to directly replace the original OEM inlet hose. Featuring integrated steel wire to prevent collapse under negative pressure and three to five layers of reinforcement, this kit ensures reliability. Unlike the original rubber hoses which can crack with age, do88's silicone hoses provide a durable and visually appealing upgrade. The design removes the factory intake resonator, which is intended to reduce intake sound, thereby optimizing both airflow and the audible intake experience. This intake hose is crucial for channeling clean air from the air filter to the intake manifold. A compromised air intake hose can lead to reduced fuel efficiency, decreased engine performance, and an improper air/fuel mixture, potentially causing engine damage. Symptoms of a failing hose include a check engine light, rough idle, and audible intake noises. This kit is specifically designed for BMW 3-Series models (E90, E91, E92, E93) from 2005-2012, including the 323i, 325i, 328i, and 330i with N51, N52, or N53 engine codes. It also fits BMW 1-Series models (E81, E82, E87, E88) from 2005-2011, specifically the 125i and 128i with the N52 engine. Both single and 3-stage intake manifold configurations are supported. The OE reference numbers this kit replaces are 13717560300, 13717536004, 13717536002, and 13717537502.
