The BimmerWorld Silicone Throttle Body Boot offers a significant upgrade over the stock plastic intake elbow for the S54 engine found in the E46 M3. Its reshaped profile allows for a higher volume of filtered air to reach the engine, essentially increasing plenum volume and boosting throttle response and power. Important fitment notes indicate that the ends of the boot may require trimming to achieve a proper seal and optimal airflow for your specific application. This is particularly true for S54 engine swaps in E30 or E36 chassis, where more extensive trimming might be necessary. A snap-blade knife and straightedge are recommended for this task. This throttle body boot is compatible with the stock intake plenum/air box as well as many aftermarket intake systems that do not replace the factory plastic boot. It fits all E46 M3 Coupe/Convertible models from 2001-2006.
