The Torque Solution Carbon Fiber HD Hard Turbo Inlet Pipe is engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM corrugated rubber inlet on Subaru EJ engines equipped with an STI or similar intake manifold. This high-flow carbon fiber inlet provides a significantly larger and smoother pathway for air entering the turbocharger, leading to improved throttle response, increased airflow, and enhanced overall reliability. It utilizes 4-ply silicone couplers and includes silicone-safe clamps, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection. The design is versatile, accommodating both standard recirculated setups and speed density configurations. The kit comes complete with all required hardware and billet aluminum fittings, including various barb fittings and adapters for recirculation and speed density setups, as well as silicone-safe worm gear clamps. Installation notes specify that the turbo coupler will require trimming on both ends, and PTFE tape should be applied to all fittings for a proper seal. This direct-fit design aims for a clean installation, though some trimming of the coupler is necessary.
