Overview

The COBB Tuning Silicone Turbo Inlet V2 is a 6-ply silicone direct replacement for your 2008-2021 Subaru STI. Its custom silicone construction rejects high engine bay temperatures and steel wire reinforcement prevents hose collapse under vacuum. The V2 design features machined billet aluminum adapters for a more secure fit and a plug-and-play adapter for OEM level integration of the PCV connection.

This inlet requires tuning changes, and COBB offers OTS Map support for compatible vehicles. It is 50 State legal with CARB EO numbers D-660-21 and D-660-48.

The COBB Tuning Silicone Turbo Inlet V2 is designed to replace the restrictive factory rubber hose connecting the intake system to the turbocharger compressor inlet on 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI models. This upgrade addresses limitations in the stock component, which can collapse under high airflow demands, restrict intake air, and degrade over time. The V2 inlet, constructed from black 5-ply silicone, offers improved flow characteristics and long-term durability, ensuring it won't collapse and hinder performance. The turbocharger inlet is a critical point where intake air passes before entering the turbocharger's compressor wheel. The factory rubber hose's internal geometry can impede airflow, especially at higher rates, as the material can deform under suction pressure. The COBB Silicone Turbo Inlet V2 is engineered with improved dimensional accuracy for a more precise fit at the EJ257 turbocharger inlet, enhancing overall efficiency. This inlet upgrade is particularly beneficial for Stage 1+ and Stage 2 builds where boost levels and airflow demands exceed stock configurations. While often overlooked, it directly addresses a significant restriction point in the intake system. The product includes all necessary installation hardware for a straightforward upgrade, completing the flow path from the intake filter to the turbocharger.
