The Brisk QR14SL is a Silver Racing spark plug engineered to deliver outstanding performance, particularly in igniting high-octane fuel mixtures. Its design utilizes a smaller diameter silver core and an open spark hook type earth electrode, which provides superior ignition capabilities for alternative fuels like CNG, LPG, E85 blends, race fuels, and more. Silver is an exceptional material for a spark plug's core electrode due to its rapid heat dissipation, leading to a lower overall spark plug temperature and a more powerful spark. This enhanced spark strength promotes a faster and more efficient flame front and flame speed, ultimately resulting in a smoother higher RPM range in engines. The QR14SL is compatible with most aftermarket and OEM ignition systems, from traditional coil and distributor setups to modern direct ignition systems found in high-performance engines. Key specifications include a 12mm thread diameter, 26.1mm thread reach, and a 16mm hexagon. It features a gasket seat type, a resistor, and an extended projected tip. The spark plug also boasts a 1.5 mm Silver Wire Centre Electrode, which is the best conductor for both thermal and electrical properties, requiring lower voltage and reducing wear on ignition components. This spark plug is recommended for tuned and race engines, alternative fuel vehicles, and older vehicles with weaker ignition systems or oil consumption issues.
