The Brisk Silver Racing BR10YS spark plug is engineered for optimal performance, particularly with high-octane fuels and alternative fuel mixtures such as CNG, LPG, Propane, E85 blend, Alcohol, LNG, Race Fuels, and Nitro. Its construction centers around a smaller diameter silver core, which is the best material for a spark plug's core electrode due to its superior ability to dissipate heat quickly. This results in a lower overall spark plug temperature and a more powerful spark output. The enhanced spark strength promotes a faster and more effective flame front and flame speed, contributing to a smoother operation and a broader usable RPM range in engines. The design ensures proper firing even in the event of fouling, a common failure point for standard plugs. With a lower voltage requirement, it also helps reduce wear on the coil, leads, and other ignition components. The plug features a 1.5 mm Silver Wire Centre Electrode. This Silver Racing range is versatile, working effectively with most aftermarket and OEM ignition systems. This includes simple coil and distributor setups, electronic ignition, and the powerful direct ignition systems found in modern port and direct injection performance engines. It is well-suited for tuned and race engines, alternative fuel vehicles, older vehicles with weaker ignition systems or oil consumption issues, and high RPM race engines where ignition coil saturation time is limited. The BR10YS spark plug has a 12mm thread diameter, a 19mm (3/4") thread reach, and a 16mm (5/8") hexagon size. It features a gasket seat, a resistor for reduced electrical interference, and is projected for optimal spark exposure. The heat range is rated at 10. Recommended torque is 10-15 ft-lbs, and the gap is set between 0.020-0.035 inches. The expected service life is approximately 30,000 km or 18,000 miles, or 50 hours of racing.
