This system uniquely employs a single 4-pot caliper, dividing its braking power with two pots dedicated to the foot brake and two to the handbrake, each functioning on its own independent system. The calipers are constructed from a lightweight, forged one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring uniform thickness and superior strength to prevent fracturing or warpage. Opposed-piston design promotes consistent pad wear, while high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. The two-piece rotor design offers reduced weight, fade-free performance, and effective grip. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with options for cross-drilled (recommended for daily driving) or slotted (recommended for track use) surfaces. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The system also features a polished Titanium handbrake cylinder and lever, along with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure proper fitment. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included to enhance pedal response and feel by eliminating expansion under pressure. This Big Brake Kit is also Formula Drift legal.
